This illustrated album of "Azur & Asmar", by Michel Ocelot, is a didactic fable that seeks to raise awareness about the importance of respect for other cultures and societies. The story tells the life of two children raised by the same woman: Azur, with blue eyes and blond hair, son of a nobleman, and Asmar, dark-skinned with black eyes, son of the nanny. Raised as brothers, fate separates them, becoming rivals as they grow up. What will the future hold for them?

Michel Ocelot is a French screenwriter, designer, storyboard artist and director of animated films and television programs and a former president of the International Animated Film Association.
