«A ratiña presumida» is the children's picture book by José Antonio López Parreño, published by Kalandraka in hardback (40 pages, in Galician).
The work is an original version of the traditional tale of the vain little mouse, born from a puppet show that José Antonio López Parreño has been performing for over twenty years. In that staging, each character is associated with a rustic instrument: the little mouse with a small bell, the bull with a cowbell and the rooster with a jingle bell.
The book contains 20 illustrations by Pablo Mestre and belongs to the collection «Os contos do trasno»; the Galician translation is by Marisa Núñez.
Recommended for children aged 4 and up, especially for those approaching traditional tales for the first time.
