«A noite que avanza» is a short story collection by María Eugenia Pérez Valcárcel, published by Baía Edicións in paperback (104 pages, in Galician).
The story is set in a rural environment where the passage of time, from harvest to vintage, marks the waiting of a woman who dreams of a distant, luminous city full of elegant women. The narration contrasts that dreamed world with the stillness of the village, in a lyrical and melancholic tone.
The work was published in 2002 and belongs to the Baía Narrativa collection, number 13.
For readers of Galician narrative who value stories with a rural atmosphere and melancholic tone.
