«682 jours» is the diary of Roselyne Bachelot, published by Plon in paperback (288 pages, in French).
The author, a former Minister of Culture, recounts her 682 days at the head of the ministry during Emmanuel Macron's presidency, in the midst of the pandemic. She criticises those who did not consider culture an essential good, those responsible for health management, and politicians who, in her view, put obstacles in the way of keeping theatres, cinemas and cultural venues open.
Published on 5 January 2023; the cover shows «Le bal des hypocrites» alongside the title.
Recommended for those interested in French politics and the role of culture during the pandemic.
