Robin Stevens is an American-born English author of children's fiction, best known for her Murder Most Unladylike series. She has spoken of the Golden Age of Detective Fiction as an influence on her work.

Robin Stevens was born in California and grew up in Oxford, right across from the house where the real Alice in Wonderland lived.

Her passion for the mystery genre began at age twelve after reading 'The Murder of Roger Ackroyd', a gift from her father.

She decided to become a writer when she realized she could never grow a mustache as spectacular as Hercule Poirot's.

Her teenage years spent at an English boarding school provided the perfect inspiration for her detective stories.

With a prolific career spanning 28 books, she is a celebrated author of children's and young adult mystery fiction.
