Marc Simont was born in Paris and grew up between France, Spain, and the United States.
He considered his father, the painter Joseph Simont, to be his most influential art teacher.
Despite not finishing high school, he trained at prestigious art academies in Paris.
He is world-renowned for illustrating the popular children's book series Nate the Great.
Throughout his prolific career, he illustrated a total of 26 works dedicated to juvenile literature.
