Joseph Ralph McGinniss Sr. was an American non-fiction writer and novelist. He was the author of twelve books.

Joe McGinniss was born in New York in 1942 and built a prolific career as a journalist and author.

His professional journey began at the Worcester Telegram before he became a prominent columnist for the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Throughout his life, he published a total of 25 works exploring themes such as biography and true crime.
