Robert Roger Ingpen AM, FRSA is an Australian graphic designer, illustrator, and writer. For his "lasting contribution" as a children's illustrator he received the biennial, international Hans Christian Andersen Medal in 1986.

Robert Ingpen was born in 1936 in the Australian city of Geelong.

His prolific career includes the creation of more than 67 published works.

He is globally recognized for his illustrations in classics such as Around the World in Eighty Days.

His artistic talent extends to postage stamp design and graphic art.

He has brought magical worlds like Peter Pan's Neverland to life through his art.
