She began writing children's literature under the name Hanna Muschg after failing to find suitable stories for her own children.
Her body of work includes over 35 titles, spanning both adult fiction and juvenile narratives.
She collaborated closely with illustrator Käthi Bend, a creative partnership that was honored with the Swiss Children's Book Award.
After studying German language and literature in Marburg and Göttingen, she spent time in the United States, which influenced her translation work.
