Graham William Joyce was a British writer of speculative fiction and the recipient of numerous awards, including the O. Henry Award, the World Fantasy Award, and six times the British Fantasy Award for both his novels and short stories.

Graham Joyce was born in the British city of Coventry in 1954.

Beyond his career as a novelist, he dedicated part of his life to teaching.

He explored the boundaries of horror and contemporary fantasy throughout his prolific career.

He published some of his works under the pseudonym William Heaney.

His bibliography includes over fifty works, among which the title Requiem stands out.
