French archivist and historian (1926–2021)

Michel Duchein was a prominent French historian and archivist whose work deeply explored British history.

Under the pseudonym Marc Daniel, the author expanded his creative side beyond his academic texts.

His experience as an archivist allowed him to publish technical reference works such as Archive buildings and equipment.

As an Anglicist, he dedicated much of his career to building cultural bridges between France and Great Britain.

Throughout his life, Duchein published a total of 26 works ranging from royal biographies to specialized manuals.
