Anya Seton, born Ann Seton, was an American author of historical fiction, or as she preferred they be called, "biographical novels".

Anya Seton was born in Manhattan and was the daughter of the renowned naturalist Ernest Thompson Seton.

Her most iconic work, Dragonwyck, was successfully adapted for the big screen by Hollywood.

She was known for conducting extensive historical research to bring realism to her novels.

Her book Katherine is considered a genre classic and tells the story of Katherine Swynford.

Throughout her prolific career, she wrote a total of 82 works exploring historical fiction.
