In 'I Was a Rat!', Philip Pullman presents the story of a boy who appears at a shoemaker's door claiming to be a rat. Sebas and his wife take him in, but society doesn't make it easy for them. This fantasy novel explores themes of discrimination and acceptance of differences, inviting reflection on how we judge others and the value of individuality. A moving story that reminds us of the importance of empathy and respect in a world that often fears the different.
