«Where Are the Dogsharks?» is an early reader children's book by Harriet Ziefert, published by Union Square Kids in paperback (28 pages, in English).
The dogsharks, shark-like creatures in cheerful colours, take over the playground: they jump, climb and dig non-stop. As young readers follow their comings and goings, the story uses the fun to teach prepositions of place such as inside, outside, on top, under, around and through.
It belongs to the «I'm Going to Read» series (level 1), with texts of up to 50 words and illustrations by Robert Wurzburg.
Aimed at early readers starting out in English, with short sentences and simple vocabulary to build reading confidence.
