«Was für Ghettoschule?!» is the autobiographical account by Hanna Fecht, published by Ullstein Taschenbuchvlg. in paperback (240 pages, in German).
With irony and closeness, Hanna Fecht recalls her time at a school that the education system considered problematic. There, «Alman» was an insult and a stay in the United States cost credibility on the street. Against the official diagnosis, she champions what she learned: determination, true friendship and international understanding.
The full title includes the subtitle «Nicht für die Lehrer, für die Straße lernen wir», and the work was published in 2021.
For readers who enjoy school memoirs with humour and social criticism, or who want to learn about a German school with a bad reputation.
