«¡Viva la patria!» is the humour manual about military service by Jaume Ribera, published by Ediciones B in paperback (192 pages, in Spanish).
A satirical work presented as a survival manual for facing military service. Through a humorous tone, it describes recognisable situations from a recruit's daily life and offers supposed advice for getting through them, with caricature illustrations like that of the soldier on the cover.
Published in 1991, the cover reproduces the subtitle «Manual de supervivencia para el servicio militar» and an illustration of a caricatured soldier.
For those seeking a humorous read about compulsory military service in Spain.
