«Veus del món a Barcelona» is a short story collection by Assumpta Escolà, published by Generalitat de Catalunya in paperback (216 pages, in Catalan).
The book brings together 107 stories by people who arrived in Barcelona from all over the world. They tell how their arrival was, what surprised them and what they missed, and build bridges between their cultures of origin and the reality of the city. A mosaic of experiences and emotions in the first person.
The stories come from a competition organised by the Centre de Normalització Lingüística de Barcelona, of the Consorci per a la Normalització Lingüística.
Recommended for readers interested in multicultural Barcelona and the integration experiences of those who arrive in the city.
