Verso un sapere dell'anima

Synopsis of Verso un sapere dell'anima

This book is considered the manifesto of María Zambrano's polyvalent thought. It explores the genesis of the two forms of reason—mediating and poetic—that guided her philosophical activity, intertwined with a constant reflection on the history of European philosophy and culture, its crises, and its failures. The vital challenge Zambrano assumes is dictated by the necessity, not only theoretical but existential and political, of renewing a 'lost friendship' through a knowledge of the soul.
