Vendredi, ou, Les limbes du Pacifique is a novel by French author Michel Tournier, published in 1967. It is a reinterpretation of Daniel Defoe's classic Robinson Crusoe story, exploring themes of solitude, civilization, and the relationship between man and nature. The novel follows Robinson Crusoe after he is shipwrecked on a desert island, where he eventually meets a native he calls Friday. Through their interaction, Tournier offers a fresh and thought-provoking perspective on the human condition and society.
