«Vals» is the satirical novel by Francesc Trabal, published by Edicions 62 in paperback (208 pages, in Catalan).
The novel portrays with irony and humour the Barcelona bourgeoisie of the 1930s, with an agile style that moves away from nineteenth-century realism. Gabriel Ferrater praised it in 1958 as an exceptional example of modern Catalan prose.

Suitable for the general public; especially recommended for those who enjoy twentieth-century Catalan literature.
