«Une vie bouleversée» is Etty Hillesum's personal diary, published by Points in paperback (360 pages, in French).
Between 1941 and 1943, in Amsterdam, the young Jewish woman Etty Hillesum records in her diary her daily life and inner growth while Nazism exterminates the Jews of Europe. Faced with barbarism, her writing becomes an exercise in consciousness, faith and spiritual resistance, with a radical trust in humanity.
French edition from the Points documents collection, including «Lettres de Westerbork», translated from Dutch with an introduction by Philippe Noble.
Recommended for readers of intimate diaries, Holocaust testimonies and stories of spiritual resistance.
