«Una mà de sants» is Bienve Moya's essay on six Catalan saints, published by La Magrana in paperback (176 pages, in Catalan).
The author explores the most popular and mythological side of six saints deeply rooted in Catalonia: Àgata, Antoni, Cristòfol, Jordi, Medir and Pere. With legends, documents and traditions such as the giants or the Corpus processions, he explains why such curious stories are associated with them, from the cold of Saint Anthony to the bean of Saint Medir.
Published in 2011, the work belongs to the Otros La Magrana collection; its author received the National Culture Award in 2009.
For readers interested in folklore, traditions and Catalan popular culture, with an informative and humorous approach.
