«Un week-end de repos absolu» is a children's picture book by Davide Cali and Alexandra Huard, published by Editions Sarbacane in paperback (28 pages).
Workaholic parents promise a weekend of rest in the countryside. Once at the chalet, garden and kitchen chores take up all their time; the son, meanwhile, plays and relaxes while watching his busy parents. A tender and ironic critique of the work-life balance, with vintage-style illustrations.
Published on 3 April 2013. Recommended reading age: 3 to 5 years.
A book to share with the family, with humour and tenderness, inviting reflection on leisure and nature.
