«Un pez en la escalera» is the children's novel by Beatriz Giménez de Ory, published by Santillana Educación in paperback (128 pages, in Spanish).
Selene receives a red fish as a gift from a fairground worker and grows fond of her new pet. When she has to leave for a few days, she must find someone to look after it; her none-too-friendly neighbours do not seem the best help. The story shows how everyday gestures and living together can change one's mood and deliver a final surprise.
It belongs to the Purple Series (+8), is illustrated by Alex F. and is the first edition published on 12 April 2021.
Suitable for child readers aged 8 to 9 and for those who enjoy optimistic stories about living together.
