«Un passeig per la Barcelona Modernista» is the architecture book by Lluís Permanyer, published by Ediciones Polígrafa in hardback, in Catalan.
A tour of Barcelona's Modernista buildings. The text explains that the Eixample was built thanks to the faith of the architects and the conviction of the owners, and that this conjunction of passions made it a unique district. Conceived as a cultured and friendly itinerary, it invites readers to admire and rediscover the works, far from a catalogue.
The photographs are by Melba Levick; published in 1998, the work has 160 pages and 216 illustrations and is part of the Arquitectura collection.
Aimed at readers interested in Catalan modernism, architecture and photography of Barcelona.
Lluís Permanyer i Lladós was a Spanish journalist and essayist known for six decades of work at La Vanguardia and for a body of books and audiovisual works on the Barcelona's history, culture and urban fabric.
