«Un mal principio» is the young adult fantasy and adventure novel by Lemony Snicket, published by Montena in hardback (192 pages, in Spanish).
After becoming orphans, the siblings Violet, Klaus and Sunny Baudelaire, three very unlucky children, face a greedy villain, survive a fire, suffer a plot to strip them of their fortune and even have to wear itchy clothes. The narration employs Lemony Snicket's irony and black humour.
This edition, published in 2017, is the first volume of the series «Una serie de catastróficas desdichas»; translation by Néstor Busquets Tusquets.
Recommended for readers aged 12 and over and for those who want to discover the books on which the Netflix series is based.
