El principio era el fin

Synopsis of El principio era el fin

«El principio era el fin. El insospechado origen del hombre» is the anthropological essay by Oscar Kiss Maerth, published by Barral Editores in paperback.

The book puts forward a heterodox theory on the origin of humanity: cannibalism, practised by remote ancestors, would have been the trigger of human evolution. Kiss Maerth examines customs and private life of ancient societies and defends a thesis that clashes with traditional conceptions.

The essay, in its second edition, has 284 pages and belongs to the Breve Biblioteca de Respuesta collection (vol. 69) of Barral Editores.

Readers interested in heterodox anthropology and in theories on human evolution that marked the debate in the 1970s.
