«Un cole horripilante» is the humorous children's novel by Francesca Simon, published by EDICIONES SM in paperback (64 pages, in Spanish).
Kate arrives at a school very different from what she expected: spiders are part of the menu, the teacher is a gorilla, and the classroom has no desks, books, or notebooks. Convinced that a mistake has been made, the girl tries to find out what is going on in that strange school, in a zany adventure full of humour and mystery.
It is part of the El Barco de Vapor Blanca collection (no. 131), with illustrations by Tony Ross; the original English title is Spider School.
Recommended for children aged 6 to 7. With humour and mystery, it addresses overcoming difficulties and adapting to school life.
Francesca Isabella Simon is an American-born British author. She is most famous for writing the Horrid Henry series of children's books.
