«Un batec alhora» is the young adult novel by Sharon Creech, published by Pagès editors in paperback (176 pages, in Catalan).
Annie, a twelve-year-old girl, runs barefoot with her friend Max, draws, and spends time with her grandfather. With Max's irritable humour, her grandfather's memory loss, and her mother's pregnancy, Annie faces the changes by drawing the same apple for a hundred days. A warm novel in free verse about friendship, family, and adaptation.
The Catalan translation is by Dolors Udina. It is part of the Nandibú Jove collection (no. 5). Published in 2018.
Aimed at a children's and young adult audience, with a theme centred on family and the capacity for adaptation.
