«Uda betiko balitz» is the novel by Xabier Mendiguren Elizegi, published by Elkar in paperback (164 pages, in Basque).
The novel follows a group of young people aged twelve to sixteen over several summers, between 1976 and 1980. It is a choral narrative: the whole group is the protagonist and shows their personal evolution alongside that of society. The summer camp functions as a microcosm and mirror of the outside world, with light and precise prose.
