«Tu che mi ascolti» is the novel by Alberto Bevilacqua, published in 2006 by Mondadori in paperback (219 pages, in Italian).
Bevilacqua addresses his dead mother, convinced that she still hears him, and retraces the life of Lisa: a single mother who raised her son in a poor neighbourhood of Parma under the dictatorship, went through a deep depression and recovered in later life. The narrative shows the bond between mother and son and how death does not interrupt it.
For readers of contemporary Italian fiction and those interested in intimate stories about the mother-son relationship, memory and grief.

Alberto Bevilacqua was an Italian writer and filmmaker. Leonardo Sciascia, an Italian writer and politician, who read Bevilacqua's first collection of stories, The Dust on the Grass (1955), was impressed and published it. Mario Colombi Guidotti, responsible for the literary supplement of the Journal of Parma, began to publish his stories in the early 1950s.
