«Todos muertos» is the crime novel by Chester Himes, published by Bruguera in paperback (220 pages, in Spanish).
Set in New York's Harlem, the novel follows detectives Coffin Ed Johnson and Grave Digger Jones as they investigate a series of violent and seemingly unconnected crimes. The portrayal of urban life, corruption and racial tension turns the investigation into a descent into the city's margins.
Fifth instalment of the Harlem Cycle, originally published as 'All Shot Up' (1960). Translated by Ana Goldar. Bruguera published it in Libro Amigo (no. 514) and in its Novela Negra series (no. 8).
Recommended for readers of classic crime fiction with an interest in African-American fiction and mid-20th-century New York.
