«Tigre birtuala» is the young adult science fiction novel by Josu Lartategi, published by Aizkorri in paperback (64 pages, in Basque).
The story takes place in a grey future devoid of emotions. Its protagonist leads a double life: one real, dull and routine, and another virtual in which he is a hero. Connected via a headset to a central computer, he discovers that virtual reality can prove more real and rewarding than his everyday life.
Published in 2000, it belongs to the Hegan bilduma collection, designed for students of Basque; the texts are adapted by level and include a glossary and exercises at the end.
Aimed at young people aged 10 to 12 and at those approaching the Basque language.
