«The World Was My Lobster» is the autobiography of George Cole with Brian Hawkins, published by John Blake Publishing in hardback (288 pages, in English).
Cole looks back over more than seventy years of a career, from his debut at fourteen in the musical The White Horse Inn to characters such as David Bliss in A Life of Bliss, Flash Harry in the St. Trinian's films and Arthur Daley in Minder, and treats his adoption and his life with humour.
The hardback edition was published on 7 October 2013; the title comes from a line in an episode of Minder.
Will appeal to admirers of George Cole and of British film and television, particularly fans of Minder and the St. Trinian's films.
