«The Drawing of the Three» is Stephen King's fantasy novel, second instalment of the Dark Tower saga, published by Penguin in paperback (416 pages, in English).
After his encounter with the man in black, Roland Deschain wakes on a beach in Mid-World and discovers three doors that connect him to New York at different moments of the 20th century. Through them he must «draw» three key people for his quest for the Dark Tower: Eddie Dean, a heroin addict from 1987; Odetta Holmes, a young woman who lost her legs in a subway accident; and Jack Mort, a man responsible for inconceivable cruelties. The novel blends dark fantasy and suspense as Roland tries to form his ka-tet.
Plume published this second novel in the Dark Tower series (The Dark Tower II); the edition includes illustrations by Phil Hale.
Recommended for readers who have started the saga with «La Torre Oscura» (The Gunslinger) and want to continue reading Stephen King's series in English.
