«The Adventures of Captain Underpants» is Dav Pilkey's humorous children's novel, published by Scholastic Paperbacks in paperback (121 pp., in English).
Jorge and Berto are two fourth-graders who love playing pranks and drawing comics. Their creation, Captain Underpants, a superhero in underpants and a cape, comes to life when they hypnotize their strict principal, Mr. Krupp. Absurd humor, illustrations on every page, and the Flip-O-Rama technique complete the adventure.
First installment of the Captain Underpants series. Winner of the Pennsylvania Young Readers' Choice Award in 2000.
Recommended for children aged 7 to 10 and for early chapter-book readers, especially those who enjoy absurd humor.
