«Saga» is the contemporary fiction novel by Tonino Benacquista, published by Lengua de Trapo in paperback (320 pages, in Spanish).
A television network commissions four screenwriters to create a low-budget late-night comedy. They pour their sorrows and longings into it, and the characters end up coming to life. The tangle between neighbouring families becomes a national phenomenon, but the producer fires them and they respond with a revenge that ignites the audience.
First number of the Otras Lenguas collection from Lengua de Trapo, with translation by M.ª Teresa Gallego Urrutia.
For readers of contemporary fiction who enjoy humour, television satire and the play between reality and fiction.
