«Rue Darwin» is the novel by Boualem Sansal, published by Alianza Editorial in paperback (264 pages, in Spanish).
After his mother's death, Yazid gathers his siblings in Paris, but nothing unites them: the youngest has joined the Taliban. He returns to Darwin Street in Algiers, where Jews, Muslims, Christians, Kabyles and French people once coexisted, to piece together a denied past, amid the war of independence, fundamentalism and family lies.
Translation by Wenceslao-Carlos Lozano; first edition in the Alianza Literaria (AL) collection, published in 2013.
