«Rubia de verano» is the comic by Adrian Tomine, published by La Cúpula Ediciones in paperback (128 pages, in Spanish).
Collects stories from Optic Nerve featuring disconnected urbanites: a blocked writer, a telemarketer who makes bad-taste calls after losing her job, and a man obsessed with his neighbour's blonde. Tomine portrays them with sensitivity and a fine ear for their contradictions.
Published in 2005 as the Spanish edition of Summer Blonde; belongs to Adrian Tomine's Optic Nerve series.
For readers of independent comics who value urban stories, flawed characters, and a melancholic tone.
Adrian Tomine is an American cartoonist. He is best known for his ongoing comic book series Optic Nerve and his illustrations in The New Yorker.
