«Restauración» is the play by Eduardo Mendoza, published by Seix Barral in paperback (114 pages, in Spanish).
In the Spain of Alfonso XII, a stormy night brings about encounters that are not as coincidental as they seem. Mendoza composes a poetic theatre of multiple perspectives, with restrained irony, lyrical emotion and a special attention to the cadence of spoken language, allowing mythical motifs and intimate obsessions to surface.
With a prologue by Pere Gimferrer. Translated from Catalan by the author. Edition published in 2001.
A title for those interested in contemporary Hispanic theatre and in the work of Eduardo Mendoza.
