Règne animal

Synopsis of Règne animal

In rural France, at the end of the 19th century, a peasant family struggles to survive in a hostile environment. Young Henri, marked by the death of his mother, is drawn to the animal world and establishes a special bond with the pigs on the farm. As the family faces poverty and disease, Henri seeks refuge in nature and in his connection with animals, questioning man's place in the world and the cruelty inherent in life.
