Reformemos el islam

Synopsis of Reformemos el islam

In 'Reformemos el islam' (Reform Islam), Ayaan Hirsi Ali, drawing on her personal experience and deep knowledge of Islam, makes a call for a reform of this religion. She argues that only through a modernization of Islam can problems such as terrorism, sectarian warfare, and the oppression of women and minorities be eradicated. The author proposes five amendments to Islamic doctrine, inviting Muslims to adapt their faith to the 21st century and the Western world to support Muslim reformers instead of appeasing Islamists. This book is an exhortation in favor of peaceful change and a new era of global tolerance.
