«Quiero ser como tú» is the children's picture book by Cristina Oleby, illustrated by Silvina Eduardo, published by La Espigadora in hardback (40 pages, in Spanish).
The animals of the African savannah are sad and dull: Lion doesn't like his fur and wishes he were elegant like Leopard; Leopard longs for a long neck like Giraffe; Giraffe would rather be short like Zebra; Zebra admires Elephant's monochrome skin; Elephant envies Rhinoceros's small ears, and Rhinoceros yearns for a mane like Lion's. So they all decide to change and stop being themselves. A fun story about the importance of loving yourself just as you are.
First edition published on 10 March 2019. Album in 24 x 24 cm format, with text in Spanish.
Recommended for early readers and especially useful for working on self-esteem, self-acceptance and respect for differences at home or in the classroom.
