«Quase Adolescente» is the children's and young adult poetry collection by Maria Teresa Maia Gonzalez, published by Verbo in paperback (120 pages, in Portuguese).
78 short illustrated poems that, with humour, turn animals into a mirror of human behaviour: a withdrawn cockle, a whale that stops eating to avoid gaining weight, a chameleon with a bubble on its nose. In verse, the author portrays recognisable types for young readers.
First volume of the Zoomanias series; 2005 edition with illustrations by Margarida Vidal de Oliveira.
For children and young adult readers, especially those wanting to approach illustrated poetry in Portuguese.
