«Princesse Chipie et Barbaclou en vacances» is the children's picture book by Claude Clément and Jean-François Barbier, from Nathan in hardback (28 pages, in French).
Princess Chipie and her friend Barbaclou spend a holiday on a desert island in this illustrated tale. The scenes show a beach with the sea and sky in the background, with cartoonish characters like a blonde girl and a bearded man with a pirate air, and the tone combines humour and adventure to accompany early readers.
Published in 1994, it belongs to the Première Lecture collection, a series of illustrated tales in French.
Aimed at children aged 6 to 9 who are starting to read and enjoy humorous adventure stories.
