«Pour une philosophie politique de l'éducation» is the philosophical essay by Marcel Gauchet, Dominique Ottavi and Marie-Claude Blais, in paperback.
The work analyses the paradox between the broad consensus on the values of democratic education and the uncertainty about the means to achieve it. It proposes rethinking the link between democracy and education through six current questions: education, the Republic, the child, equality, the common culture and civics.
Work in French of 254 pages, with subtitle «Six questions d'aujourd'hui»; published in 2002 by Bayard.
For readers interested in political philosophy, education and the contemporary debate on the educational system.
