«Política en serie» is the essay on television series and power by Julio Otero, published by Libros.com in paperback (198 pages, in Spanish).
It analyses how political thriller series reflect and influence the perception of power. With cases such as «El ala oeste de la Casa Blanca», «Borgen», «Homeland» and «House of Cards», it examines the parallels between their protagonists and the leaders of recent decades, and argues that serialised fiction is a way to understand politics.
Published in November 2016. Foreword by Jorge Carrión.
For readers interested in politics, communication and television series who want to see how fiction portrays power.
