«Pinocchio» is the children's adaptation of Carlo Collodi's classic by Annette Weber, in hardback (67 pages, in German), published by Edition XXL.
Pinocchio, the wooden puppet created by the elderly Geppetto, wishes to become a real boy. Along the way he has adventures and misadventures, meets peculiar characters and sees his nose grow every time he tells a lie. The story invites reflection on honesty and shows, with colourful illustrations in an animated style, the bond between Geppetto and his creation.
The illustrations are by Miguel Epes. The text is intended for early readers and for reading aloud. Book club edition published in 2010.
For children from about 5 years old: the large, colourful illustrations make it easy to follow the story and share it as a family.
