«Petits contes de printemps» is a collection of stories by Natsume Sōseki, published by Editions Philippe Picquier in paperback (140 pages, in French).
Very brief texts that Sōseki wrote in 1909 as a newspaper serial, presented as fragments of an intimate diary dated between 1 January and 12 March. They alternate confidence, delicate humour and nostalgia, and evoke the passage of time, a snowy night or the beauty of flames: a reading on impermanence.
Published in French by Editions Philippe Picquier in 2003, with a translation by Elisabeth Suetsugu from the original Japanese.
For readers of classical Japanese literature, short stories and admirers of the work of Natsume Sōseki.
