The two great ladies of the Spanish historical novel, Ángeles de Irisarri and Toti Martínez de Lezea, join forces in this book to offer a portrait of the Middle Ages in the Iberian Peninsula. Through thirty short stories, they explore the interrelationships between the Jewish, Moorish, and Christian cultures, as well as the daily lives of noble and common women in that era. A work that achieves an attractive and vivid portrait of a society as distant as it is unknown.
